Pune, March 28, 2011 - Extentians were treated to a one-of-its-kind event this past weekend. Saturday morning, they witnessed a demonstration of watercolor painting by the well known artist, Captain A.V. Rowe. The good-sized audience observed as the ninety year old artist painted a few landscape pieces, and explained the intricacies of watercolor creations.
Captain Rowe is a World War II veteran, who gradually took to painting after suffering a severe hearing disability while fighting in Burma. His specialty is landscapes - particularly trees, and his work has been exhibited several times.
