Mumbai, March 8, 2011: A team from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) recently won the National Round of the Lock, Stock and Trade event held at the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research. Pavitra Sudhindran, Ritika Khetawat and Juie Bedekar of SCMHRD worked with Umeed Kothavala of Extencore Solutions in Pune ahead of the event for guidance and inputs.

The annual Lock, Stock and Trade event is held to encourage entrepreneurship among young people. Several teams from universities and colleges nationwide participate, and present actual company profiles to the audience. The audience acts as investors who evaluate and mock invest in these companies’ shares. The winning company has the highest market capitalization.

The SCMHRD team had earlier won in the Judges’ Choice and Investors’ Choice categories, during the regional round in Pune.

He worked closely with us as we came up with the pitch,’ said Pavitra Sudhindran. ‘We now have a good understanding of a business and what can differentiate it. In effect Extencore was the invisible member in our winning team’ in Pune.
