Pune, May 26, 2010 - Extentia Information Technology held a Blood Pressure Awareness Drive for employees at both its Pune locations. The event was held Tuesday May 25, and there was some good enthusiasm with over 130 Extentians participating voluntarily.

Doctors Mandare and Vidya Jagdale conducted the checkups, and recorded key parameters. Employees were made aware that regular blood pressure checkups are important as the condition (hypertension) has no major symptoms, and is considered a silent killer.

At the Extentia drive, information leaflets were made available for them to share with their families and spread the message at home. Treatments to manage and prevent high blood pressure were discussed as well. 

At the end it was clear that the majority of Extentians were in good health, and not hypertensive. They were now conscious, if not already, of the need to keep high blood pressure at bay.
