Pune, October 7, 2010 - Christian Wegmann, Director, FH International - an Extentia customer in the UAE - addressed Extentians today at the Boat Club. The occasion was part of Extentia’s Breakfast Talk series. A highly regarded speaker, Wegmann was requested to talk to Extentians about something unusual – his life changing experience as a former hostage. Wegmann happened to be at the Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai on the morning of the infamous Mumbai terrorist attacks in November 2008. His detailed first-hand account as a hostage, of the horrific events over two days, had the full attention of the audience. Wegmann spoke of his fellow hostages’ emotions, interactions among them, along with the extremely tense and frightening atmosphere during their time there. He also repeatedly commended the staff at the hotel for tending to everyone’s needs during that terrifying period of time. Wegmann reminded the audience of the frailty of human life, and how it was important to cherish every moment. He concluded his talk by telling Extentians that humans were not born to hate, and they should not hold hate in their hearts. For hate is baggage - life's too short to be angry, and its resulting actions are not worth wasting time on. .
