Impact Education’s SkillsTutor Mobile, an education tool developed by Extentia Information Technology has won the 'Product or Service most likely to succeed in the Tech Ed Market' award at Ed Tech 2010. The award was presented as part of the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA)’s 2010 Ed Tech Industry Summit Innovation Incubator Program.

Adam Hall, President & CEO of Extentia partner Impact Education received the award in San Francisco today.

SIIA’s Innovation Incubator Program locates and provides visibility to innovative developers of education technology products or services. Ten finalists and three alternates were chosen to participate in SIIA’s 2010 Ed Tech Industry Summit. The program, which celebrates innovation and growth in the education market, was a highlight of the event.  Impact Education and Extentia were recognized for the SkillsTutor Mobile tool.

Last week, SkillsTutor Mobile had advanced to the next round for consideration for the “Most Innovative” and “Most Likely to Succeed in the Ed Tech Market” Innovation Incubator Program Awards. The tool was demonstrated by Umeed Kothavala, CEO of Extentia Information Technology, and Hall.

SkillsTutor Mobile delivers K-12 educational content in reading, math, language arts and science on students’ mobile devices, including the iPhone and iTouch. It measures each student’s knowledge level, customizes individual instruction and reports results to teachers and administrators.
