Till Julian Möwes
Till was studying at the University of Bayreuth and was actively involved in university internships in the areas of technical distribution, marketing and corporate communications.
He describes his internship at Extentia as: “I have learned many things at Extentia, especially about the outsourcing business and how to apply marketing techniques to it. Besides that, there are the intercultural experiences, the wonderful people at Extentia and the great time you can have in Pune and on numerous weekend trips. This affected me very much and I will go back to India for my exchange semester and maybe pursue a career there.”
Looking back, the internship helped me a lot even in my career. My knowledge and understanding of the Indian market and mentality, as well as the fact that I had undertaken an internship in an English-speaking country is often a great advantage especially during personal interviews.
Post his internship at Extentia, Till went on to study at Handelshochschule Leipzig (HHL). He is currently completing a practical semester as a business development analyst with the Bosch Group. He is so fascinated by India and its opportunities that he will continue his studies at the reputed Indian Institute of Management (IIM-A).
Christine Chami
Christine worked at Extentia for almost a whole year having completed her studies in Canada and worked as a market researcher/buyer for a trading company. Given her prior work experience Christine helped to setup several new initiatives, contributing in the areas of market research and idea conceptualization.
Before starting her internship she backpacked through India for a whole month and visited 12 cities from Goa in the south to Dharamsala in the north; passing through Rajastan, Gujarat and of course the Taj Mahal. To Christine, the experience was unique, memorable and highly enriching.
Describing her tenure at Extentia, Christine says, “My internship has been truly exceptional and rewarding. I am particularly amazed with Extentia’s management approach cultivating a relaxed and flexible, yet highly productive environment. Besides having gained valuable professional experience, I also formed friendships that will last a lifetime.”
Post her internship Christine moved to Dubai in January 2006 and now lives there and works as a brand executive for a cosmetics company, though she hopes to return to Pune, India very soon.
Julian Murrell
Before beginning his internship at Extentia, Julian was in his final year of business studies in Bayreuth, Germany. He had already done a few internships in Germany and was curious to do another internship in India or China.
Julian says, “Working for Extentia was a great learning experience. I had the opportunity to be part of a fun and positive working environment. My job was to target the German-speaking market and to win new clients for the company. The lessons I learned at Extentia now help me to succeed at my first permanent job assignment in Paris. I hope to return to India and Extentia one day and to see how the business has developed.”
Post his internship, Julian completed his final thesis (“Offshore-Outsourcing to India”) and graduated in November 2006 with an MBA-equivalent in Business Administration. Today he is based in Paris and works as business developer for a medium-sized French company.

Visiting India was the highlight of Nico's internship. He says, “Besides business as usual - which it never is in India :-) - it was great to celebrate Diwali and the other Indian holidays. India is a great country and has so many beautiful places to discover and so many interesting people to get to know. Overall: India bahut accha hai! Tik hai, Tik hai!”

Heiko Faulhaber
Extentia was an amazing opportunity for me. Living and working in India has given me an experience I never would have made in Germany. Apart from working in an English work environment there has been so much more that added value to me as a person and as a professional.
With starting the new business line Extencore I was able to work in business development in a responsible marketing position. With reporting directly under the management I really had the chance to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. Not only in developing marketing strategies or processes but also in giving presentations to clients onsite. In the marketing and sales executive position at Extentia I had the chance to deepen my skills in dealing with customers as well as the daily work skills of an marketing executive. If I had any questions I always had the chance to get some guidance.
I have to mention that the work atmosphere created by every single Extentian makes it so easy to fit in. The warm welcome and the interest into me as a person simply pulled over cultural barriers in a heart beat. With the outright careless package concerning the accommodation, telephone and other daily life affairs, the company was setting up, everybody makes it hard for me to leave. Pune is just such an interesting booming town. You just won’t stop getting new impressions all the time. With the surrounding areas there is just so much to see that I will have to come back for several vacations or a longer period of working.
