Aditya Kapoor, an independent researcher and gold medallist from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), recently hosted an engrossing session on Soft Robotics at Extentia. He acquainted the audience with the concept of Soft Robotics, the difference in the material used to build these robots, and the scope and future of this field – all in a simple yet effective manner.​
The session explained how rigid robots have their limitations, which led to the emergence of soft robots that can potentially work better in unpredictable environments, during disaster response for example. Aditya also provided insights for the young adults present in the room, on getting started with building soft robots and pursuing a full-fledged career in this domain. The audience asked questions as the session concluded.​
