Extentia and Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC) today announced the launch of the Pune Oktoberfest 2016 mobile application for Android. The app is now available for the fourth consecutive year.

This year’s version of the utility app allows users to buy passes for the event, in addition to features like event registration, information, directions, support, and feedback. The app has been integrated with an online payment gateway to enable users to register and purchase the passes online.

IGCC brings Germany’s well known Oktoberfest to Pune for the sixth time this month. It will be held between Oct 14-16, at the RWITC Pune Race Course, and Extentia is a lead event partner.

Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world’s largest fair, with more than 5 million people attending every year.

 

The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event. The Pune Oktoberfest app is the first ever app for this event, having first launched in 2012.
