A networking and knowledge sharing event organized by Extentians, for Extentians
Following the success of XTND, Extentia hosted XPRESS on Friday, May 18. An internal event, the panel, and audience comprised of Extentians as they came together to discuss the role of technology and user experience for 2018-2019. The interactions between the UX and technology teams at Extentia resulted in an engaging discussion with various predictions and insights shared.
XPRESS followed the same format as XTND and had panel discussions centered around UX and engineering. The event kicked off with the engineering keynote given by Suhas Bhosale. He spoke of the need to adapt to the rapid technological changes or be left behind. The panel discussion followed in the same vein – machine learning and artificial intelligence were discussed at length along with the user dependency on technology. The UX keynote conducted by Manali Mitra, took Extentians on a UX journey and weaved a story around humanizing experiences. The panel took this ahead by discussing the role of user research, and how to put the customer first through design thinking.
The audience peppered both panels with questions. The engineering panel answered queries of the heightened role technology is destined to play in the future, while the UX panel debated the role of accessibility in design.

The ‘Friday reboot’ at XPRESS was a photo scavenger hunt – Find it. Click it. Ship it! The teams were divided by color and participated enthusiastically to solve four riddles. XPRESS was broadcast live on social media with the hashtag #XPRESS2018. This included live tweets, LinkedIn, and Instagram posts.
